Residents in the D Street Housing Project expressed fear, as they feel that they are constantly surrounded by the drug activity. One resident asked the Boston Police why they don’t just arrest people that are repeatedly doing the same crimes in the same places. “You know where they are and what they are doing. How come you don’t arrest them and throw away the key?” Ed Flynn, who was in attendance said the following regarding the tone of the meeting. “It is obvious that more and more of our South Boston neighbors are concerned over the huge increase in drug dealing in the community over the last 6 months.
